Motorized Kayak Registration is required by LAW in Dubai?  It is as easy as the below 8 steps:

Step 1: Apply for kayak insurance.

Send an email to AXA Insurance staff: (Elia.Anto@axa-gulf.com) if she’s unavailable contact (Ibtisam.alrahbi@axa-gulf.com)

Step 2: Apply on www.dmca.ae (Under water sports category) and save your application number, you will need it later. 

Step 3: Submit requested documents online.

Step 4: Print the below documents and keep them with you: 

• Application number
• Residency copy
• Passport copy
• Emirates ID copy
• Invoice of kayak is a must 
• Insurance copy
• Car registration card
• Invoice of motor copy

Step 5: Visit DMCA office.

Bring the documents you printed, you need your kayak and your motor to be there for inspection. 

Step 6: Pay 120 aed for the inspection fee (Will be paid online via the same portal, you will need your username and password) and wait for approval/rejection. Once approved, book an inspection appointment. 

Step 7: Show your kayak and your motor to the inspector (Chair must be on top of your kayak), and after passing inspection pay 320 aed registration fee via the same portal. 

Step 8: Receive your motorized kayak registration card, and you’re all done! 

Important: 

Make sure you install a safety flag and keep a life jacket (PFD) on top of your kayak when you go for inspection. Your kayak must be in great shape or the inspector will not pass it for you. You can always rely on us for all your kayak needs.
